There’s a lot I can say about this rehabilitation center that its supposed to be to the help elderly. I’m here to tell everyone that this place is very bad for your family. My mother in law was sent to this rehab to help her get better but that didn’t not end that way. She was only there for four months before she died there..

I’m very upset with the staff and the nurses they never checked on her they left her dirty she would call us telling us she hasn’t taken showers in weeks she wasn’t eating properly because the food was disgusting she was on a stricted diet. When we the family approach the situation they would yes we do attend to her! She was neglected in every which way mentally, physical, and emotionally there’s wa never a day that went by that she was genuinely happy! She was the worst social worker why have that job then if you don’t care. Do not send your loved ones there PLEASE its very sad to think your family is in good hands and they really not. When she died no one wanted to tell us nothing were still looking for closure!
In total, the owners of Fulton Commons paid themselves $14.9 million through this scheme of fraudulent rent payments while evading disclosure and approval by the Department of Health . If I could give this 0 stars that would still be too much. My mother was just here for a few weeks with a broken hip. She is 98 years old with dementia and forgets things from one minute to the next.
After two weeks in Good Sam she is now back at East Neck and I already have my regrets. As someone else mentioned she gets wheeled into a day room with no aides to keep them company or supervised; yesterday she was oozing fluids from a wound in her arm and I had to notify staff about not only that but to alert them she was sitting in a soiled diaper . Many of the folks that work there are very nice and helpful but the place is severely understaffed. On the day she died in November 2020, her healthcare proxy arrived at Fulton Commons and attempted to see her but was told her condition was not severe enough to merit an in-person visit. Further, the owners and operators maintained insufficient and inadequate staffing levels at the nursing home and engaged in several fraudulent schemes to divert more than $16 million from Fulton Commons in order to enrich themselves.

With that being said staff were extremely nice and patient with us and grann.
